Research interests : Heterozygozity, immunity and mating systems

Heterozygosity is often linked to evolutionary fitness and this link predicts a selective advantage to individuals with a high level of genetic diversity. Because heterozygosity could partly determine the ability of the host to resist to pathogens (for example), the choice of partner for high heterozygosity , potentially linked to specific immune capacity may be an important adaptive factor in the arms race between Armadillidium vulgare and its sexual parasite Wolbachia. In parallel, some evolutionary strategies of mate choice could set up to prevent parasite infections. My studies revolve around various facets of heterozygosity ranging from mate choice to immune parameters, through experimental tests of kin selection theory.
