Fonctionnement, distribution et génétique des Populations.

A l’heure où les écosystèmes connaissent une évolution sensible sous la pression conjuguée des contraintes environnementales et anthropiques, mes travaux de recherches tentent d’évaluer l’impact de ces changements sur la distribution de la variabilité génétique des populations.

L’usage des terres et le climat ont considérablement évolué au cours des 50 dernières années. En Europe, ces changements ont conduit à des bouleversements affectant les écosystèmes et leurs services associés. Dans ce contexte, le suivi de l’évolution des paysages et de la biodiversité associée apparaît comme étant indispensable. Par sa diversité de paysage et par ses activités agropastorales variées et en pleine évolution, la région Nouvelle Aquitaine représente une zone d’étude privilégiée pour l’étude des écosystèmes et des relations Hommes-Nature. Ainsi, mes travaux étudient l’évolution spatio-temporelle (i) de la connectivité écologique des paysages et (ii) de la variabilité génétique des populations.

Distribution and genetic populations

Currently, taking into account that ecosystems are experiencing a significant change under the combined pressures of environmental and anthropogenic pressures, my research aim to assess the impact of these changes on the distribution of the population genetic diversity.

Both climate and land use changes evolved since 1950. In Europe, these changes have disrupted ecosystems and their associated services which represent a major financial issue. Thus, monitor the evolution of landscape as well as the associated biodiversity becomes crucial and represents currently a very important problematic. Taking into account its important landscape diversity, the Nouvelle Aquitaine Region represents a privileged zone for study the ecosystem evolution. Thus, my researchs are studying the spatio-temporal evolution of (i) the ecological connectivity of landscapes and (ii) the genetic variability of populations.
